MAMA LOST A FRIEND We are sad to say that Eric Jarecki of Precision Industries was involved in a boating accident and has passed. Eric trained with us at MAMA for some time along with his co-workers from PI. Eric leaves behind his pregnant wife Cori and 3 children. Anyone who knew Eric or just wishing to contribute, his co-workers have set up a fund at Security National Bank to help his family. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at St. Gerald Catholic Church. |

Mirsad Bektic finished runner-up while Marcos Marquez, Jason Minor, Brandon Atkins, and Kevin Elliott made the semi's. Points are currently being tallied for the overall team title.  CONGRATULATIONS Our Judo program recently conducted it's first rank test. On hand with our instructor Anthony Carlson was Sensei Mike Penny. Promoted to Yellow Belt were: Joel Mickells, Chuck Hill, Steve Olson, Ryan Smith, and Justin Hamliton. CONGRATULATIONS Meeko Spainhower's dad Toby placed in the Mr. Nebraska bodybuilding contest taking top honors in his division and class!!  FAREWELL A fond farewell to our good friend Matt Meyer. Matt is moving to Oklahoma City where his wife will be conducting her medical residency. CONGRATULATIONS Alysha Klinginger sucessfully passed her Black Belt test!! On hand for the 2+ hour test was Sifu Marc McFann. Sifu Marc was very impressed with Alysha's performance and was more than happy to approve of the promotion! Thanks to everyone who came to support Alysha. PHASE CLASS Due to demands of our other classes and competition team, our Phase Class will no longer be held on Saturdays at 11:00. Training in Kali, Silat, Jun Fan Gung Fu or Self-Defense is still very much availabe on a private lesson basis. Our youth program will continue to teach all aspects of these arts. Abe Wagner, Drew Dober and Mark Mickells came away with some hardware adding FTW titles to their resumes. Great job by all the fighters, they represented NE well! Ohio Grappling Challenge Anthony Carlson competed in the Team Ohio vs Team Midwest grappling challenge during which he defeated Nick Goldizen, a Relson Gracie Purple Belt and MMA fighter.
